Does Enforta Require Special Licenses To Operate This Technology?
The advancement of technology is a challenge for both operators and the regulator alike. Russia recently revised its telecom regulations which dictate both the use of radio spectrum and provision of telecom services. In Enforta’s case Russian operating company (ZAO Prestige Internet) holds both the spectrum permits and telecom operating licenses that allow the Company to provide services.
Further, just like the cellular operators, Enforta is obliged to obtain the approval of the State Spectrum Planning Committee (‘ГКРЦ’) and register it with the Federal Agency for Communications (‘ФAC’) before beginning operations.
Enforta holds spectrum permits and operates base stations in both the 3.5GHz and 5.2GHz spectrum.
