Enforta Completes First Phase in Construction of Russian National Wireless Broadband Network

Enforta BV announced that it has finished construction and successfully tested its wireless broadband network in the Russian cities of Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Omsk and Novokuznetsk. Upon completing these four new deployments, Enforta broadband services can be provided in Ryazan, Orenburg, Ufa, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Ekaterinburg, Nizhni Tagil, Omsk, Barnaul, Novosibirsk, Novokuznetsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk, Vladivostok and Khabarovsk.
“This concludes the first phase of our plans to bring modern broadband services to 29 Russian regional capital cities by the end of 2007”, said Victor Ratnikov, General Director of Enforta. “Today Enforta serves more than 2000 subscribers in the regions of Russia”.
Enforta began the actual deployment of its network just this past November after having conducted commercial trials in Novosibirsk and Ryazan. The network is constructed using modern broadband wireless equipment manufactured by Alvarion (Israel) and Infinet Wireless (Russia).
Service packages including both Internet and voice start for as little as $49 per month.
